Hello all
My partner and I had heard of some horror stories of being detained and questioned before being allowed to enter Canada, and even from a brother-in-law with coming from USA and only being allowed 1 month despite everything else checking out. See here: Tourist for 6 months visiting my fiance who will support me. Need own funds?
Therefore we want to ensure we are as prepared as possible just in case they want to ask any questions or see proof of anything.
I am planning to carry on me through YEG airport:
Now, what I do not have is the following:
Does anybody think I can do anything more to be more prepared for the highest success rate possible?
Maybe a photo of me, her, and her son together at dinner dated January 2013?

See here: Tourist for 6 months visiting my fiance who will support me. Need own funds?
Therefore we want to ensure we are as prepared as possible just in case they want to ask any questions or see proof of anything.
I am planning to carry on me through YEG airport:
- Flight ticket there
- Just-in-case return flight ticket for 6 months time
- Travel insurance for the 6 months
- International Driving Permit
- Bank statement of the past 2 months
- Proof of emergency credit card funds
- Partner's bank statement of the past 2 months whom I will be staying with and paying for everything for my stay
- Partner's letter of employment and wage
- Details for my partner including home and contact details
Now, what I do not have is the following:
- My letter of employment and earnings because I have had to leave my job in order to be in Canada for the initial 6 months (not to mention if I do get the PR no problem...)
- I do not have much more than £1k of my own money even though my fiance will be paying for everything during my stay
Does anybody think I can do anything more to be more prepared for the highest success rate possible?
Maybe a photo of me, her, and her son together at dinner dated January 2013?
