Maternity leave, while wating for extension of work permit, PR in process

Hi, guys.

I work with PGWP which will expire in almost 3 months, so last month, I applied for the extension of my work permit for the closed one

( I am a holder of CSQ, so exempted from LMIA )


Now I am pregnant and I am due in Febuary. I want to take a parental leave, but I am not sure if I can be off for the parental leave while I wait for my new work permit.

Anyone who has the same or similar experience, please give me a advice. Thank you in advance

I went off on parental leave in Jan, my PGWP was going to expire in June of this yr while I submitted my Express Entry ITA. For EI, I had to submit proof that I applied for a bridging work permit before the expiration date and also had to submit the proof to.my employers.
