Hi, i have the issue as yours. Did the EI pay back for you?
We received a digital letter in our CRA account saying that EI payments would stop if the SIN number expired and it would only resume after we extended it. We are still on Implied Status, so I can only confirm it in a few weeks.

thanks for replying. i have the same situation as yours. just waiting for the new SIN. i only worried about that will affect the final EI payment amount. the current amount is much less than I thought. hope it will not.
