I have done BCA (3 years) and MCA (2 years) both from India, an adviser told me that I am over qualified for a PGD and I should go for Masters instead and another adviser is suggesting me PGDs only.

So is it true that I will have trouble getting student visa for Post Grad Diploma

Honestly, I don't want to go for Masters because from what I gathered they are not job oriented. If possible please suggest me a University which has MS in Software Engineering.

my professional record

10th-67%
12th-64%
BCA-76%
MCA-8.2/10

i would suggest you to opt for masters as PG is under qualification according to your profile. The job does not only depend on the course module alone but also on your networking skills and hard work also.

Go for a Masters if your plan is to get employment in Canada and try to get PR. Employers generally ignore PGDs (they are low value). A Masters will get you much much farther here.

yeah, I would love to work in Canada for a few year, an agency has been suggesting me University of Windsor. As I am not anywhere close to Canada, I don't know if its any good. Is it worth it?
