Hi,

I am an Indian(30 years) and have been planning to move to Canada as a skilled professional with my wife and daughter(1 year) and I was looking for some information about life after moving. I am currently working as a Statistical Analyst with 2 bachelors(1.Bsc IT -SMU-2015 and 2. Bsc Math Major IGNOU-2018) i.e both my degrees are from distance education but recognised by UGC.

I want to move to Canada and pursue my masters from there. However, there are several constraints.
1. Both of my bachelors are of 3 years and is from distance education, i.e regulated by UGC and not NAAC(regular studies)
2. I would want to pursue MSc in Statistics or Machine Learning part time since I can't afford to go for full-time studies.

I know that to complete Masters in Canada you either must have 4 years of Bachelors or 3-years Bachelors recognised by NAAC and I don't fulfill both of these criteria but I do have 2 bachelors (Math and IT).

Can anyone help me to understand this situation better, so that I can do my masters and work fulltime while in Canada? Please ask if any clarifications are needed.

Getting into a masters program in AI will be very competitive. Given your 3 year degrees, distance education and being an international student you will likely struggle to get accepted. Getting a visa and getting into a program as a part-time student even less likely. To qualify for a PGWP you would also need to be studying full-time. If would contact the programs if you want to know what you can do about your prerequisites.

Thanks @canuck78 for the reply, I have planned to move to Canada with my current experience in data science then get another bachelor from Canada and further education.
