Hi all, I need your advice
I am planning to pursue full Time Masters in Computer Science(or any other good masters course) in Fall 2013 session in Canada/Vancouver. I am planning to move there with my twin daughters (6 months old) and husband. I have a 6+ years experience working in Finance domain (software) with MNC's. My academic details: 10th -85%, 12th - 63%, Degree (Btech CSE)- 70%
Queries:
1) What all masters can I go for? Which month do the application process starts from?
2) Colleges in Vancouver which offers these courses?
3) Pros & Cons of moving with my family while I study full time? Can my husband work there while I Study?
4) Will my work ex count while I take admissions?
5) Do they offer Masters + Phd courses together in any of the Uni's?
I am looking for a long term stay in Canada after I finish my study and hoping to work there too.
Any other related information would be very helpful. Thanks!

You will never get a visa by applying with your whole family. Looks like all
of you are trying to use a study permit to immigrate.

How will you say "you will never get a visa" that's a very wrong thing to say, I know of people, a lot of them who has gotten visa for themselves and their family to study inCanada.
I guess it all depend on individual cases and how you can convince the VO.

It might make the case weak but not like it can never be achieved, with good application package and the grace of God

Thanks for your reply. Its okay if the visa gets rejected. But I can in no way leave my children at home and go off to study. I am pretty sure this is possible and yes if I get an opportunity, I may like to immigrate aswell in the future. Rest depends on how this goes forwards.

Sorry, I should have explained. Its quite clear you would like to
immigrate, infact everyone here thinks of PR to some extent. Its just that some present their case less obvious then others. In your case, the whole family is trying to jump along which sort of shows dual intent on your part. It would be better for you to get a visa first and then ask your husband to apply with the kids next.

I agree with the above poster who states that it may look like you are trying to immigrate to Canada using a study permit.

This is what I see your biggest challenge is:

For temporary resident visa issuance, such as study permits, the onus is on the applicant to satisfy the visa officer that they will leave Canada at the end of their stay. This is demonstrated through having sufficient ties to their home country by the way of children, spouses, land, jobs, houses, etc.

In your case, it will be very difficult to demonstrate this seeing as how your husband will be seeking a work permit and both of your children are coming as well.

Not to say that this file will be rejected on first appearance, but if I had to guess, it will be more likely than not. It all depends on your circumstances and the types of assets you have.

Where are you coming from? What type of job or work experience does your husband have?

The thing is my babies are too small to be left alone and I would definitely need someone to take care of them while I am away studying. And after I complete my Masters, my husband will be applying for his too (SO I work and take care of the kids while he studies). My husband has 6 + years exp working with software MNC's.
Before writing in this forum, I was quite positive about all this :) but now I suddenly have negative thoughts in my mind :(!

if u plan properly u can apply for visa first and then for ur family and still make it together to canada......u can apply 3 months before the start date of ur university and then once u get ur visa apply for ur family ..if ur indian processing time is less so u and ur whole family can make it. u will need to plan it very carefully....or as u said u can take a chance by applying with ur whole family. but i suggest dont go for college if possible go for university.
