Masters Degree Evaluation - Urgent Help Required

Dear All,

I've an MBA from University in UK and a Bachelors degree from University in India.

The Indian university is not responding properly. Also refused to give any transcripts.

I've already applied for WES and my UK University is already sending the transcripts to Canada office.

In the 'Docs required' section, it says
Transcript of academic records issued by the institutions attended - showing all subjects completed and all grades/marks awarded for all years of post-secondary study

Question -

Can I provide only MBA assessment to be performed without the Bachelors Degree?

Has anyone got their Masters assessment done without providing Bachelor's assessment ?

Can I send photocopies of my Degree Transcripts directly to WES?

Need urgent response as I'm about to send documents to WES tomorrow.

Most Indian universities require you to physically go there and get the transcripts / marksheets attested. I did my bachelors from India and MBA from the UK. One email was enough for my UK university but I had to send my brother to my Indian university while my mother in law did it for my wife in India.

Try to send someone to do it for you if you are away. If you don't have anyone, you can pay someone to do it. You can check out mail transcripts, clear transcripts and your man in india.

I don't think WES will evaluate just your Masters degree without having Bachelors transcripts. I had my Masters transcript sent to WES directly from the university in US and they have not started the evaluation as my Bachelors transcript is on its way from India.

They need your Bachelors degree transcripts to see how many years you studied for that. In India, we have 3 years college degree as well as 4 years college degree. And WES has to compare that with the Canada's equivalent degrees.

I'll suggest you to send your Bachelors transcript as well. You can ask your family or friends to get it for you. Also, in this forum there have been discussions about a few websites which offer services where they get your transcripts for you.

But when trying to contact the University, they are even declining to provide any information.

My brother had been to the University (A local one). But they refused to divulge any such information.

And in my wife's case, she did her Bachelors from EIILM University. Now they are closed and unable to find any relevant contact for EIILM University.

So, I can't even get my wife's credentials assessed to make her a primary applicant.

You dont need transcripts from the university. Take photocopies of all your marksheets and get it attested by the registrar or controller of exams. This has to be placed in an sealed envelope that has the stamp and sign of the registrar / controller of exams on the back flap.

You do not need your Bachelors degree at all, your master degree assessment from WES is enough. Take a look at my case, i did my Masters from Cardiff UK, and BBA from Pakistan. I only sent my MBA degree copy to WES and asked Cardiff Uni to send detailed transcript which they did. Within a month i got my WES assessment certificate.

Hi,

as far as I know Master degree consider implicit the fact that you have a bachelor. (if WES recognize it).
And if you are claiming points it should automatically grand you 50 extra points because it counts as 2 post secondary degree.

In my case: I sent my univerisity 3+2 years degree and they did recognized it as a master degree.

IMO you have to send all your education for ECA. If you only send masters and not bachelors as Waqas.vikc suggested, WES will say masters and you will get the outcome as your desire. When filling post ITA documents, you have to mention your bachelors degree and that is not on the ECA so won't it be conflicting that you mentioned the bachelors degree to CIC but did not get it evaluated.

IMO you have to send all your education for ECA. If you only send masters and not bachelors as Waqas.vikc suggested, WES will say masters and you will get the outcome as your desire. Isn't it possible that people can appear directly for MBA based on their work experience and achievements?

I know many universities offer this. So just asking.

What is the basis of this point? Is there any source you can refer where the case officer has rejected an application just bcoz one was able to give only Masters certificate and letter from ECA authority on Masters?
Or is just a fear?

Yes, you should send your Degree Certificate to WES irrespective of what University sends directly to them.

My UK university sent the transcripts but I sent the degree. My university said that the transcripts were dealt with by the registry whereas the degree certificate was dealt with by the convocation department.

Did you send the attested Bachelor's degree from India or Just the photocopies?
