Average of 3 years BSC in India(Majored in chemistry) -- 62%
Average of FINAL year(Chemistry Major year) - 71.6%
IELTS - 7.5 with no less than 6.5

Someone please help, I desperately need to get in :(

What is your sub-field?? Chem or Biochem??
Hi thank you for your response :)
My sub-field is simply Chemistry, 5 different major subjects were Organic, Drugs and Dyes, Analytical, Physical , Inorganic

In first 2 years I had physics and chemistry as well...

Do you think my profile is okay for the universities you mentioned bro?

thank you very much :)

Hi,

I am unsure for the profile assessment, you better ask graduate coordinator of the universities I listed. By the way, was your degree four year or three years long?? I am also a Chemistry graduate but my field is mainly Biochem.

One thing I know for sure that basic sciences slots are very few in N. American universities as compared to engineering or business slots and in Canada you need to speak and wait for glowering supervisors too :-( I guess you know you have to find a supervisor before heading to final application.

Good luck..

120 credits are smaller one..

I also studied chemistry major for bachelor degree which is 4 years. I obtained 136 credits, but I have to take more class.

The min credit is 140.... which is equal to bachelor degree level.

You can go to PG diploma or PG certificate and then apply a master degree.

Oh great lets see now...but thing is my parents know certificates in canada are nothing compared to masters, even before I did :p...so they want me to go for masters itself..

Can I do 1 year masters here in india and next year apply with it based on it?
but that will be leaving masters here in between, how will visa officer see this?

No.... it's not a good idea. If you have a master degree in india, it will make more difficult to get a visa in the future.

Why dont you transfer to another university(4 years- bachelor degree) in india?

bachelors of science is only 3 years all over india...engineering is 4 years, but i don't think I can jumo into 4th year or something similar for these programs, since its different, its engineering... :(

and i think its too late even if that option existed too :(

Then, go for PG diploma or PG certificate. Its best option for your case. If you want to study master degree, Please, finish any pg diploma or pg certificate... Then you can study a master degree in the future.

Can you refer me some link to verify this information? I have not read anything like it on websites of universities I have visited. For example, link to Uni of Toronto admission standards for Pakistan, though minimum but they intake students from Pakistan with 124 credits.

Graduate coordniator of Dept of Chem and Biochem replied me as, just now,

Our admission standards typically require a four year undergraduate
degree. As a result, we normally would not accept students from
Pakistan with only a BSc, since these degrees are typically shorter than
a four year degree. However, in your case, you have the BSc as well as
the MSc from Pakistan. We would consider the combination of these two
degrees as an acceptable alternative to a four year undergraduate degree.

and this combination is 124 credit hours...

Pl ask the faculty, professors, graduate coordinators of the universities you are interested in. Convince them of your course and your research exposure. But pl do not let anything overcome your ambitions.

Go ahead :)
