I'm presuming you have an Indian passport. As such an Indian passport does not have the marital status specifically, only that the spouses name is recorded.
It shouldn't be a problem if your spouses name is not on your passport. The marriage certificate alone (if it is in English at least) should be sufficient. If it is not in English please look up the forums for translation requirements, I'm not 100% sure about that.
