Hi everyone,
I have a PGWP expiring May 2023 and my boyfriend who is a Canadian citizen has asked to marry me. I'm in the express entry pool but with the scores now it's hard to get an ITA.
We have been together since 2020 and haven't lived together. We started living together this month and planning to get married in March of 2023.
We had always only wanted a small ceremony with family and friends and we are both awkward so just going to sign a marriage license and probably a small dinner hosted by his parents.
My question is, can I apply for inland sponsorship spousal once we get our marriage license which will probably take about 4 weeks..
And I'm not sure as we haven't been cohabiting for a year but we have proof of family and friends and conversations and also proof of income support ( he earns more than me so usually gives me a set amount per month).
Not sure if ne getting married while my PGWP is expiring would be looked into but this is something we had planned for awhile... Any input would be appreciated as the best way to navigate this
