Married to a Canadian Permanent Resident

Hi All,

I have applied for spousal sponsorship, but would like to apply for express entry due to my professional status occupation. I am from the US, my wife is a Canadian PR.

The profile asks if I am married: Yes
Will this person accompany you to Canada?: How should I answer this? She lives here...

If you want to be very sure, maybe you can call the CIC helpline and ask them. Sometimes it helps.

Select "no." Accompanying means being included as a co-applicant on the PR application.

Thanks all, that's a pretty poorly worded question.

I may just call the helpline and see if they can clarify as well. If I do, I will post their response here.
