Married in India last month, How to Sponser my wife ?

Hello friends, I just got married in India last month and currently live and work as an Accountant in Regina for last 3 years, Can someone Please advise how do I sponsor my wife here in Canada ?

I heard something about Work visa category for Spouse but don't know much about it. If you can share your experience in terms of where do I find forms and which category shall I apply for her, that would be much helpful.

well are you a PR or a Canadian citizren. If you are none of those, than you cant sponsor.
If you are just fill all the forms required and get your documents and proofs ready.
Send all the stuff to Canadian Immigration in missisauga

well from your profile..i can see that you are PR. You need to apply under family class category to sponsor your wife. If your wife is in India you can apply outland category. if she is in Canada with you ..you can apply inland.
for outland, processing will be done in new delhi office. avg processing is 8-9 months. you need to send all your forms to missisauga office for sponsor approval, then it will forwarded to delhi for your wife processing.

Do not apply in-land the wait it 2 years where as an outland application is about 7-8 months in Delhi.

The work visa category wouldnt apply or getting her as a dependent since you are already a resident; the only way for her to get a PR is to sponsor her.

Looks like you are PR here in Canada so if that's the case you can apply for your wife under Family : Spousal Sponsorship Category

You will have to fill all the forms for sponsorship and your wife will have to fill forms as an applicant.
Make one package for both including all the supporting documents and fees and submit it to CIC Missisauga.
Sponsorship approval will take anything around 3 months these days, once you are approved you will get the Acknowledgement letter and your file will be transferred to New delhi for your wife's PR processing. It will take anything between 5 months to a year depending upon your case. So total time for your application including Sponsorship approval here in Canada and PR application in New delhi will be anything in between 8 to 15 months. Average time right now is anything 7-9 months for clear cut cases.
