Married but not to the father of the child

Can someone include in the application the child of his wife to other man?

The main applicant is the husband and the wife has a child from other man. The wife was never married to the father of the child and the name of the father was also not indicated in the birth certificate of the child (father's name is blank or unknown)

Anyone who is in the same situation or who knows about this kind of scenario?

You can iclude your step daughter or son in your application. If only the mother's name who is your wife appears on the birth certificate, you are good to go.
