Married and common-law at the same time

My wife and I are Brazilians and we are united in common-law in Brazil. We are also married in the United States (our wedding was in Vegas). Should I say we have a common-law union or that we are married? Will they accept the USA wedding certificate as proof of marriage?

If it is a legal marriage in the USA, then yes, it will be accepted.
