Hello,
I wonder if there is any measure I can take regarding a bug delay to the Government provide me my marriage certificate. Now has been more than 19 weeks (they promisse max. 13) and every time I call, they claim they are working on it.
Last time I called was yesterday. The person said there are no notes of any problems with my application, however, has been 19 weeks since the officiant sent the docs to Thunder Bay. They have no explanation for the delay. I need that certificate to apply for my PR, I need my PR to work on my field here! It is getting to a point that I am not going to be able to function here anymore. I am going to my country on January and I need to register my marriage there and has to be within 6 months of the wedding. All this delay is holding me back with my entire life!!!!
I would like yo know if there is somewhere I can file a complaint or even if there is a judicial measure I can take.
Thank you in advance for whoever can help me with that.
Regards,
Renata.

I am also waiting over and above the 13 weeks. I applied using the record of solemnization, explanation of why I have not submitted marriage certificate, printed screen shot that I, in fact, ordered the marriage certificate 2 days after wedding, and printed screenshot of the tracking status as of the day we sent the application in.

Application was received Nov 28. It has not been returned and we have not heard anything. Somewhat patiently waiting...

This is the fastest way to get your marriage certificate.

Send the the registrar a fax to EXPIDITE MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE, write a letter and explain the reason you need you marriage certificate as soon as possible, I got my marriage certificate 4 weeks.

Call Service Canada and explain them the situation they will provide a fax number you can directly fax your letter to.

You must also have submitted online application for marriage certificate.

Can I have examples of expedite letter as I need my marriage certificate as soon as possible? Because my work visa is expiring next year I have to apply for the permanent residency before that?
