Hello. I am a Canadian citizen and I am wanting to marry my Belgium girlfriend in her country. Do we need to apply for a marriage licence here in Canada and then bring it to Belgium or do we apply for one there? Will our marriage be recognized as legal in Canada if we get married in Belgium? Do we have to perform another marriage in Canada for it to be legal?

you do not need to do it its legit your marriage license from beligum

You don't need to have another ceremony in Canada.
Include your Belgian marriage certificate with translation (notarized) in your application package and it will be just fine.

Hi

A marriage licence from Canada will not be valid in Belgium. You need to apply for one there.

Provided the marriage is legal in Belgium and does not contravene any federal marriage laws in Canada (i.e. underage, polygamous etc.), the marriage will be legally recognized here.

You do not need to marry in Canada again.

Belgium has 3 official language, dutch, german and french. I don't know if you can ask wich lanquage will appear on your marriage certificate but if all the information is available in French you won't need to translate anything. Just provide a copy of your mariage certificate.
