Marriage composition during PR process

Hi,

My PR application is 'In Progress' and my AOR is 26 Jan 2021. As I am now looking forth to receive PPR request, I am planning to get married and am looking for all the possible scenarios, requirements, and implications that would be affecting my application. So it would be great if anyone in a similar state, can assist me better with all the changes that are likely to happen post getting married after the eAPR step but before PPR step.

Also, I have read that adding your spouse while our application is in progress state is a more efficient and wise step than sponsoring your spouse after receiving the PR.

Any valuable inputs in this regard will be highly beneficial.

Best,
Joe

its a lot easier and better to add now than sponsor later.
Thanks @navinball.

So, if I choose to add now just after I get married, what are the requirements needed by IRCC ? Like documentation and all.
Also, is there anything I need to be prepared for in advance before getting married and before informing the IRCC of the status change ?

There are quite a lot of threads on how to add spouse post AOR.
Post marriage inform IRCC of change in status using webform.
Start collecting docs like PCC for spouse, marriage certificate, Proof of funds update if not CEC
Fill the required forms

The list of docs will be send by IRCC, you can also search here in the Adding spouse post AOR threads.
