Hello,

I am about to submit the permanent residency application as spouse.

I got married a few days ago in Quebec (I am also applying to move to Quebec). I married at a notary.

So far I have the document signed by us and the notary (so pretty much hand written document, but official).

I have been told that this document is good enough to send the application already to the CPC-M (so to start the application asap), and that later, when I get the official certificate from Quebec (in several weeks) I can send it to the CPC-M to add it to my file.

Is this correct or should I wait until I get the official Quebec certificate?

Thank you.

send your notary document, because it approx. takes 1-2 months to open the file in Canada. So submit your application. As soon as you get the certificate send it. If certificate is going to take more than 2 months to arrive then wait for certificate first
