Marriage Certificate from Canada

Hi!

Just wanted to clarify one thing:

We got married in Canada and after awhile we ordered a Long Form Marriage Ceritifate which is a Certified Copy of Marriage Registration issued by Service Ontario.

Is a notarized copy of it good enough for CIC??

don't need a notarized version. a photocopy of the marriage certificate is good enough. they can verify the marriage from the ID.

except that you may want to check your country specific instructions as to whether photocopy is accepted

Actually it says in a beginning of my Country Specific Instructions to send a notarized photocopy of documents, unless instructed otherwise.

And it does not say anything specific by the Marriage Certificate box. So I presume it needs to be notarized!!
It is ok though..

Its a Canadian marriage certificate i wouldn't have it notarized ,but thats my opinion .
