Do not lend as single. Process will take a while and you will be sent another COPR once your husband is added to your application.
I am aware of that. I have tried reaching out to them but they arent responding to me or they are sending replies the way i have mentioned in my post above. So I dont really know how to start the process of adding my spouse to my application.

Think one of the big issues is you need the marriage registration before moving forward. Once you have it send it in and follow the instructions given by a previous poster. Do not land in Canada.

enquiries found below this email.

We are pleased to confirm the reception of the following document:

MARRIAGE CERTIFICATE_compressed.pdf
We have forwarded it and the information you provided to the responsible office for their consideration.

If further information is needed during the processing of your application, the responsible office may contact you.

Additionally, if you are the principal applicant of a permanent residence application already in process, you could add your spouse or common-law partner, dependent children, and their dependent children to your application, even if they were listed as a non-accompanying dependent in the initial application.

To do so, we invite you to send your add-on request by using the IRCC web form available on our website. You can attach the following forms and documents in the field reserved to that effect:

A new Generic Application Form for Canada (IMM 0008)* with supporting documents,
(If applicable) A Schedule A - Background/Declaration (IMM 5669) form,
(If applicable) An Additional Dependants/Declaration (IMM 0008DEP) form,
(If applicable) A signed Additional Family Information (IMM 5406) form,
A copy of the birth certificate, marriage certificate or proof of common-law relationship,
A copy of the family member’s valid passport,
Police certificates for all countries where the family member over the age of 18 has lived for more than 6 months since turning 18,
A letter of explanation (indicate “Add-on” in your letter), and
If applicable, the proof of payment*.

Finally got a response from them. They have asked for all documents including the "Please provide a completed Principal Applicant Relationship Assessment Questionnaire & Spouse Relationship Assessment Questionnaire (below)."

If they have asked me to fill this questionnaire, is it because they doubt the authenticity? Or is it common practice?

Also they have asked me to send everything, within 30 days. PCC, POF, This questionnaire along with 5-6 other forms, medical. My visa is expiring on 25th May. I have to submit everything by 15th May
Now im worried that they will send us both a COPR with the validity of 25th May 2025 itself. How will I pack everything and leave the country in just 10 days. No tickets are booked yet. I have to give a notice period in office too.....SO what is the possibility that they might extend the visa by a few months?

Your current COPR will be cancelled and reissued with your new spouse so you will have more time. If you have not given your 3 months notice you had no intention of moving in May to begin with.

Why would I give a 2 month notice period anyway knowing how dicey and unpredictable the IRCC system is. I wouldn't want to be jobless for the coming 6 months, in case they take this much time to process my application. I felt it would be smart to give the notice period once i receive my new copr and i am sure of the correct landing date.

I think what he wrote was based on what you shared about being "forced to move in May". You should really read through the past forum posts on how the process really goes - this will give you a lot of peace of mind.

Just submit what IRCC requested. The expiry date of the previous CORP is irrelevant.

New COPR of both you and your spouse will be issued with a different expiry date once everything is completed. (new forms and marriage certificate, medical, background, security check of your spouse)

Hi,Can someone update by when you got new COPR after adding your spouse? How long it took to request spouse's documents and by when they have processed the new COPR. Thank you.
