Hi.. I would really appreciate if anyone can help me with this. I have applied for PR. My future husband is already in Canada and already have PR. What can be the best option to go for that consume less time (although I know processing time can vary).

1. To wait for PR and then marry and inform CIC about it and provide all the documents required.
2. To go for soft landing after receiving PR and then return and get married. I can have my PR card delivered to me via friend. If I choose this option do I still have to inform CIC before going back.

Thanks in advance

Wait for your PR since you applied already. You can get married here and apply get Report of Marriage in your to inform your country if you want to change your family name.

Wait for your PR since you applied already. You can get married here and get a Report of Marriage to consulate and inform your previous residing country if you want to change your family name and your documents.

I don't have to change my name or anything. And I am not in Canada. I have applied for from PR my country.

If you are suggesting that I should go with option 1, then in that case I will have to give my CoPR back I guess and CIC will ask for further documents. How much time will take.

I understand what you are saying, you just wait for your PR then since you applied already. I applied for PR too even if I am single and I got here after 10 months. 1 month after I arrived we get married here in Canada.
