Marriage after passport submission (PPR)

Hi All,

I received the passport request on 11/04/2019 and I submitted my passport on 11/06/2019.
I got married on 11/08/2019 and received my passport (with visa stamp) and COPR on 11/15/2019.
I'm planning to inform IRCC about the change in marital status but before that I wanted to understand the consequences.
My wife will not accompany me to Canada at this point. Any idea on the next steps from my end once I notify IRCC about status?

Thank you for your prompt response. Is the process as simple as the initial passport submission or do I need to submit any documentation related to my wife as well?

She may be required to do medicals and provide documentation. You will be best asking IRCC.
