Hi, I have a question regarding marriage to a canadian citizen. If i get a PR on my own merit as a single independent candidate in 2018 and enter Canada and after a few months marry a Canadian citizen, will that be Ok for my PR status ? as in will i be treated on the same ground for my citizenship evaluation as before original status of an independent single candidate ? I know this question doesn't make much sense, but my fiance thinks i should be 100% sure about this thing and so am asking all experts here :)

Literally the only thing it will affect is you would have to disclose your marriage on the day you apply for citizenship.

You do not have to worry about anything. Get your PR, marry any citizen of Canada. The Govt is never biased on whom you should marry and who you shouldn’t and whether he is a PR holder or a citizen. The only thing that matters is that you should declare your marriage at the time of citizenship (as per your document).
