Dear Expert,

i want to inquire about the possible effect on my occupation after the changes, currently my occupation is in the NOC list and i can achieve more then 67 points under the existing system. What if, my profession (marketing research) will be removed from the NOC list after the changes.

Please suggest, should i apply now before the changes, if yes then what will be the benefits and if no the why not.

Thanking in anticipation

Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Applications are already being processed under the new rules since February 27 this year so you should wait for the list.

Many thanks Leon and BCguys, i am currently browising my profession related options under PNP but i found nowehere.
the best point with FSW is that we can apply even without any job offer from employer. But under PNP u have to have a concrete job offer from employer which is tricky game.
Give some alternative ...

True. When I applied for FSW, that was one of the good points for me. You don't have to look for a job offer, you can just apply, wait your turn and go and you never have to worry about that the job you were promised over the phone turns out different than you thought and you are stuck there on a work permit or having the stress of losing your job and even if you find a new one right away, you still have to sit and wait for your LMO and work permit to be changed.

One of the bad points of FSW is that when nobody makes you look for a job, most people don't bother until they arrive. They might pick their city for other reasons such as friends or relatives living there already. Then they arrive and find that they have a hard time finding a job in their field, especially if they come from a profession that is not in demand.

Dear Leon, appreciated ur comments but it doesn't answer my questions.
pls help me to get out of this web of worry, consequences of upcoming law on my occupation (4163 - Marketing Research).

what are the chances that my occupation will be removed from the existing NOC list in the updated version. i am not finding my specific occupation in demand in any PNP. and also difficult to get the job offer.

if i apply now under FSW what are the chances that i will get processed under the existing rules.

If your occupation is not that much in demand, it is very unlikely that it will be in the list of 38.

If you apply under FSW right now, the chances of being processed under the old system are zero because they have already announced that all applications made on February 27 2008 or later will go under the new system.
