Hi,

I have received my nomination (BC PNP) in June 18, 2015, and actually have received an ITA as well around 2 weeks later. I did have to decline that ITA tho, as: (1) my FBI certificate (US police check) needed 13 weeks to process, and (2) I planned to get married and did got married last week!

My question is apart from updating my EE profile (changing my marital status, and adding my husband's information), do I need to update BC PNP with this change? Does a new provincial nomination certificate (which includes my husband) need to be issues? I never thought the change in my marital status should affect my provincial nomination.

Any guidance/advice/input will be truly appreciated.

Cheers!

Your marital status causes material change to your application be it PR or PNP. You have to inform BC about this even if it doesn't change anything done already. I'm not sure if they have to issue a new certificate or not but they certainly need to be informed right away.

Thanks for your reply. Yes, I have informed BC PNP. I have not heard anything back yet tho.

My biggest worry is if I had to redo my PNP portion all over again :(

Hi..
Can you please tell me what is the procedure to update the marital status in the BCPNP application?
