Hi everybody.

I am currently living in India and working as a UI Designer and Developer and I applied to Canadian colleges for further studies and I have been accepted in one of them. I have only started smoking marijuana very recently, Since February, I smoke a joint or two every day for a week, so that is 7 days in each month, since last 3 months. Now I need to go to do medical examination soon. I am nervous that this will get my application rejected. I got my acceptance letter on 17th and I haven't smoked since then, and I won't do it either in the near future. What are the chances that I will be rejected?

Be as truthful as possible, thanks.

i agree... i believe they only check for communicable diseases...

No need to worry, like others have said, they don't take a blood sample for pot.. Just make sure when you arrive in Canada you don't have any trace of it on you or your luggage. In the mean time don't get a criminal record over it or you won't get into Canada. :D

They might welcome you, they love their Mary Jane here ;D

Smoking weed is almost legal in many cities in Canada, esp Vancouver and Toronto.
You just go to a Naturopath, and they give you a form to take to one of the dispensaries. Legal weed. Some of the dispensaries have the Naturopath on site.

One problem though is if you are not a permanent resident and you get caught by a cop with weed they can order you deported. They do this to international students all the time for some stupid reason.

I stopped smoking for exactly one month, and I got my visa. Thanks to all for replies. I haven't smoked and I won't be smoking in the near future either. Good luck to all the future applicants.
