Same question here tooo.. Also r u working on skill level job or not because i read on cic website that one can apply for spouse if you r working on skill level job...

Please reply

Spouse is eligible to get an open work permit in several conditions.

You have more than 6 months of open work permit.
You work as a skilled worker.
You have provincial nominee and waiting for the PR for both.

I don't know whether you need all of this fulfilled or not, but this is how my situation was...

So we applied through a paper application.

Even though your spouse has a client id with cic, I won't suggest online application because we all friends applied on paper and got it.

Good luck...

Hi Trunal89

I can see that you and your wife applied for the PR about a year ago?
Do you have any information how long does it take in total from the date you submitted your application to the approval?
I am in BC, almost done with BC PNP nomination (old stream, not EE) and about to apply soon to CIC for PR, too.

thank you for any information!!!!!:)

Hi,
According to the website of CIC,
The average application processing time for PR under PNP by via office differs. My file is in Ottawa right now. My file was received by CIO Sydney Nova Scotia on 10/03/2014 so yeah it's a year already. But I added my wife to my application in July 2014.

Now the file is transferred to Case Processing Center Ottawa.

Application processing time for that office is 17 months. MP of my area inquired to the ministry and they replied the same, that I've to wait.

Many of my friends who applied as single applicant and still are single got their PR. Those who married before applying to CIC, also got their PR.

I'm not even IN PROCESS...

It takes lot of patience with CIC... I understand...
For Europe it states that processing centre is in Vienna, and takes about 25 months.....my immigration consultant said it could be from 8-13 months, that that is just an average.... Sometimes it's confusing...

I am on contract job now after i got file number ...i applied under master graduate without job ... will updating this information put my file into doubt?
I heard CIC dont accept contract job..........may be i am silly asking this question???
Any views?????
