Mfwpg, please I need some help from you!!!!!!! When you applied a work permit extension at the border what were the documents you provided to them? Are you from visa exempt country? I just got refused a work permit extension through an online application. I'd like to it this time at the border.

Hey man just wanna ask, whats the reason of your refusal? Do u have pending Pr application?

Pinoybrat. Yes my pr application is still in process. They said my PNP certificate is not valid. I don't know why, anyway I'm from Alberta. Maybe they wanted a certificate stating no restrictions.

What do u mean not valid? Expired? Its kinda weird coz im helping most of my friends applying for open work permit with certificate of nomination from alberta so far non refuse. What i asked them to submit are the nomination, along side with the file number from cic. I know for a fact that they made a bridging work permit to extend your stay while waiting for PR.

Pinoybrat, I really don't know what they wanted. My certificate expired July 1, 2014 but I already applied for PNP May 16,2014. I included the file number of my PR application but I don't understand they refused my extension.

One thing i can suggest to you is to call ainp and ask about your
Nomination status

Yes I already did and they want a copy of a refusal letter and we will go from there. But one thing for sure the decision won't be changed anymore I have to re apply.

You mean u applied to cic on may 2014? Then you got a file number thats why im also wondering why did they refuse your application. Maybe they didnt see your file number. Call and tell them that you got Your cic file number already. Did u have your medical already?

Ive got 2 open wp myself. Coz first one sent a wrong passport with sooner expiry date then i applied again with my new passport after I received my first one.
My 3 friends got closed and the other one has open. Now im still waiting for my other friends wp. They submitted last feb. Yeah i think best way is to reapply or go to border with proper docs.

Yes. Medical and RPRF done. I talked to an agent earlier and she said I should provide a valid certificate. I don't understand because I am eligible for a bridging work permit

Me too im from non visa exempt country i guess. To tell u honestly i havnt heard anything like that coz i know once u get a file number youre good for bowp. Did u try to call cic? Coz its no sense of denying you when youre pr is almost done. My aunti tried to apply for her open wp
Last month, she has a pr application for more than 2 yrs until now no rprf, no in process. Dont know what happen yet. But u better call cic and tell them your status.
