Yes I'm surprised too about the speed of the application, is all unexpected specially after reading on everyone's timelines. I was totally expecting the same as majority of the applicants. I supplied all documents required at time of application, passed the test and had an interview directly after my test results.

Guys.. need help.. so I have my passport renewed as it was expiring in September. how do I send details of new passport to CIC? my application is showing "In Process".

Does anyone know how I can send details of new passport to CIC?

You can email them with your application reference number (Attach the scanned copies). I have done this for PR when my kid was born (birth certificate). They responded well for email communication. I also had to change address.

I'm curious to see how long it takes to get a test invite after you see this message on eCAS "when you see We sent you correspondence on April XX, 2017. If you have not yet provided the information or the requested documents, please do so as soon as possible. Please wait until you receive the correspondence before sending us additional information, as the correspondence will outline all information that is required."

My fingerprints were done on April 18 and were received by cic on April 26 as I called cic today.But no test invite yet.

There could be some legal issues as you may have accepted in the application that you will stay in canada after becoming canadian citizen. Maybe there wont be issues, if you pay tax in canada. better to check with a legal/tax professional.
