Hi folks,

I got mail from IRCC asking for fingerprints, and I have some question about how to get the fingerprints as there is lack of instructions.

I am wondering if anyone have experience they can share?

- Do I need to make an appointment or just show up?
- Which of the options (RCMP/local police/RCMP-accredited agency) would be preferable?
- Should I get the result myself and mail it to the local office? Or have them directly submit the result from RCMP? If I ask the RCMP/agency to submit directly, is there a way to confirm it was sent/received?
- If somebody decides to receive the results first and transfer to the local office, how long does it take to get the result from the RCMP/agency?

I called rcmp today and they said my results were sent to cic directly on April 19 .My fingerprints were done on April 18 with an agency.

I got My AOR on 31st March. However no update on ECAS. Still 'Application received' Any reasons?

most probably yes it would be a FP request.
