Hello,

Does anyone have any explanation as to the difference in timelines for receiving AORs for the same location? I saw someone who sent after me had already received their AOR and I am still waiting (same location).

Does a family application AOR take more time than individual?

My application was received by CIC on 16th March 2017 and I got AOR on 26th March and it was a family application. So I am not sure on why you have not received the AOR yet. May be they have different team to handle applications from different locations.
In some cases they do return applications if it is not complete. Average time for AOR is around 10-15 days from last 3 months or so.

Im still waiting for my AOR...
Just wondering how do we know what Citizenship Office our we assign?

Here's the list of IRCC offices. Your office will be the one closest to your home address.

Hello Guys,

My application has been returned back and the reason "The language evidence submitted with your application is not acceptable"

I thought Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test "CLBPT" is the same as Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB).

What should I do know, like should I contact immigrant office to arrange for exam or what I should do exactly.

Thanks.

I forgot to mention I have high school upgrading certificate from Alberta, but I got 53 in English is it enough for Language evidence.

Osorkon,

What did you submit for english proficiency?

How was your application returned?

Professor,

I submitted The Canadian Language Benchmarks Placement Test "CLBPT", and I received my package by the regular mail, the package sent 22nd March and I received today 29th March.

Unfortunately I didn't find CLBPT on the following list of approved language proofs.

Did you get a full refund as well? I think applicants get full refund if application is returned prior to AOR.
If you got full refund, my recommendation would be to resubmit application with an approved language proof.

All the best

They mentioned that fees were not taken, however there is an extra document attached to my package "Annex A" Please choose between the following two options, option one to resubmit an application for citizenship and option 2 to requesting a refund.

Reading some recent posts, I am having doubts on language proficiency now. I did my masters degree in canada in french and sent CIC a copy of my certificate.

My husband, however, has a non-canadian degree done in english and french. The original certificate is in english and i sent a copy of that. Do you think that for him, it's not a sufficient proof of language? I should have added some proof that the language of instruction for his degree was english and french?
