Also family applicationsam847 said:Hi, I will be applying in March too, as a family. Planning to apply first week of March!
Let's keep the timelines here as we start sending applications.
If you want to be on the safe side then yes I think doing the CELPIP test is the way to go. This way there is no worry on your part if the processing officer will accept your education certificates.sam847 said:User3000: do you think it's better to go for CELPIP-LS? Though all our education has been in English, none of the certificates say that.
I think it's safe to take the language test. I have a masters degree that was completed in english and my wife went to school here in Canada. But both of us took the test just be on safe side.sam847 said:User3000: do you think it's better to go for CELPIP-LS? Though all our education has been in English, none of the certificates say that.
You will have to apply first once you are eligible. Then when IRCC processes your application you will eventually receive the test invite if all is in order.Becksterd said:hi all...
Its not my turn to apply yet unless the bill gets passed... ive been in Canada almost 13 yrs now (student / foreign worker) and recently became a PR in April 2014. I'm just trying to get all my ducks in order so I know what to do when I need to do it. lets just say for example I am able to apply this April 2017 how do I know if I qualify besides the eligibility test on CIC website. Will CIC send me a letter inviting me to take the citizenship test? or do I have to apply first for citizenship and then they will send me the letter to do the test? I'm so confused.
If you are not eligible this year then you can't start the process. if the rules change and it is 3/5 then you can start the process.Becksterd said:Also I see processing is 1 yr and realistically I am only able to apply next yr April 2018. What If start the process this yr, will they not finish by next yr?
