Hi all,
Had the BC Ielts for the 1st time on 23rd Mar and just got my results.
L 8.5
R 9
S 7.5
W 6.5
Disappointed with writing band as you can imagine
But considering the 0.5 difference in W, I have made an EOR. Hope to get the needed 7 as I am sure that my work was better than this result.

Dont bother to reevaluate , if it is 6.5 you have chance.But with 5.5 to 7 .It is not possible

I am a bit disappointed because it was a close call. I will do the test again on April 27 since I will be the main applicant. My boyfriend is settling with his scores since it won't affect our profile this much.

Finally got the desired score today. It was my third attempt.
First attempt: LRSW 8 ,8, 6.5 ,7
Second attempt: LRSW 7.5, 6.5 ,7, 7 ( Don't know what happened to me.)
Third attempt: LRSW 8, 8.5, 7.5, 8

For me, the writing was the weakest link but somehow I scored 7 in the second attempt. I had to do a lot to improve my writing skills.
Firstly, I bought an advanced writing lesson from ieltsliz whereas, in the exam, I got a direct problem solution question which is not in Liz's advanced lessons but I learned a lot of things from her lessons like how to start or end a paragraph, where to give opinion etc.. Secondly, I wrote synonyms of commonly used words on paper and I tried to use them while practicing. Thirdly, I tried to write at least 2-3 essays of every type such as adv-disadv, opinion, outweigh, discussion, discussion with opinion etc.
I am not a very creative person, so I easily run out of ideas. On the ieltsliz website, they have a page for recent exam questions, I used to think points for them. If I couldn't think anything then I used google to read articles about that topic.
I will share all the material I have. Just don't post your e-mail address, I will upload it on some file sharing website and share the link in next 2-3 days.
Actually, its English Language School, USA
Paper based.
Also, for Listening here they don't give headphones. They play the CD in an audio player.
