I am also looking for some help! I reviewed the documents submitted and am not sure about the birth certificate from Mexico in Spanish. It has been translated by a translator certified with STIBC but I’m not sure if I need to get the actual birth certificate notarized as a certified true copy as the birth certificate itself provided by the Mexico government already states that it’s a certified copy. I was hoping to submit any updated documents via webform before the officer reviews it to prevent refusal of the application.

Please provide your thoughts! TIA!

You got AOR and pre arrival letter.. there is nothing to be worry about it. IRCC will contact you if anything change.

If the birth certificate already states that it’s the certified copy, do I still need to bring that to a notary and have the notary certify that it’s a certified copy?

The current birth certificate (translated) reads:
This certified copy is issued pursuant to the provisions of article 34, 35, 36, 37, 40, and 45 of the Civil Code for the State of Chiapas and article 9, paragraph XVIII and XXVI, 68 and 93 of the Civil Registry Regulations for the State of Chiapas. The electronic signature stamped on the date of issue is currently legally valid and probatory in accordance with legal provisions on this matter.

You already sent your application. If IRCC needs something, they will request you.

Update for me, Still only got the AOR. I ended up calling the IRCC and got through today to ask about what's going on since they requested that I re-send the IMM5889e document.

They told me to re-upload again and in big bold letters written and then scanned write N/A on all empty areas (Which I did the form electronicly and wrote N/A but the agent I guess didn't see it is what they said) so I had to reupload AGAIN.

Then I also had to re-upload my biometrics payment.

FINALLY After a month, I got the letter saying the document was uploaded (after resubmitting with the help of the IRCC agent I spoke with) and it's avail for the officer to see (literally like 4-5 hours after speaking with them).

They had given me one month to upload so I'm hoping to see some update after May 9th since all we've got was AOR.

No BIL, No Medical, No Pre-Arrival.

I did apply for SOWP (Day after AOR was received) and visitor extenstion (same time as the PR submittion) and I haven't heard back from either of those and as of now, I'm on implied status (prior visitor record expire May 6th, 2025) as well with the SOWP in. Hoping to see some movement here. Getting a bit discouraged.
