Yes, I attached all documents with one 1 letter of explanation so it was counted as one file. I attached a copy of my entire passport as another file.

do you have stamps on your passport that are not in English/French and did you provide translation? I know the entire passport thing is not mandatory but just want to see how you handle this.

Hello, please how were you able to add a co-applicant? Each time I try to invite my wife's email, I get an error message that I cannot invite this email, contact the co-applicant. I've tried with 3 different emails. Is this because I signed my application before trying to invite her?

Hello Everyone,

I am applying for Canadian citizenship and need some clarification regarding the physical presence calculator. I arrived in Canada on a closed work permit on January 1, 2019, and stayed until February 5, 2021, without leaving the country during that time.

I applied for a work permit extension on September 27, 2019, and received confirmation (though I don’t recall the exact date), with the new permit valid until November 8, 2020. Since I remained in Canada throughout, I have a few questions about filling out the "Add Temporary Residence Status" section:

1. Temporary Resident Status: In the dropdown menu, should I select "Temporary Foreign Worker" or "Temporary Resident Permit Holder"?
2. Date You Received the Status: I received my work permit and travel visa on November 8, 2018, but I entered Canada on January 1, 2019. Which date should I enter here—the date I entered Canada or the date I received the visa?
3. Date Your Status Expired: My initial work permit expired on November 8, 2019, and I applied for an extension before it expired. While waiting for approval, I was on implied status until the extension was granted, and my status continued through 2020. What date should I enter for "Date your status expired" in this case?

I also had to leave Canada for family reasons on February 5, 2021, and returned on June 30, 2022. I understand that the days I was outside Canada will be deducted from my physical presence calculation. Is that understanding correct ?

Can someone help me figure out the correct details to enter?

01-Jan-2019 to 05-Feb-2021 : Closed work Permit (In Canada)
05-Feb-2021 to 29-Jun-2022: Out of Canada for Family reason
30-Jun-2022 to 31-Aug-2022: Closed Work permit (In Canada)
01-Sep-2022 till Date: PR (In Canada)

Thanks in advance.

Yes, but they're from the period after I became a PR. I didn't provide translation for them.

Yeah invited my partner then you submit and sign together. You have probably done it to late, I would just submit and sign separately.

Thanks for sharing. Combined 2024 - 2025 to have a better pattern. 25 is outlier for Minor. Actual Min = 56.

WOW. The mean/average is much less than the official 9 months. And this fact is wounderful.

IIRC the 'official' is constructed to mean the timeline in which 80% will be (have been) processed. Using the reasonable approximation or definition that 80% of files are 'normal' and 20% - well, not normal.

Which I think is a reasonable way to approach, in that people should freak out less if they think they're within normal timelines (which is true), rather than freaking out when they find they're not 'above (faster than) average'.

Because we can't all be above average.
