Hi guys,

New to this group, but have been a long time fan of CanadaVisa since my PR application days.

My details:
Application date: March 11
AOR: March 31
Case Processing Centre: Sydney NS
Fingerprint Request: Apr 30
Citizenship Test / Ceremony : Not started
Status for the rest: In Progress

My question:
I received fingerprint request via mail (from Vancouver office), which I submitted last week. But the Citizenship Application Tracker account does not show any updates regarding this (not even about the fingerprint request being made itself).

According to https://www.canada.ca/en/immigratio...an-citizen/after-apply-next-steps/status.html, the tracker account is supposed to show “Your Next Steps”, but I do no see any such detail on my account. I can see that my account was last updated on May 1, 2025, but I can’t really access what these updates were.

Additionally, in the Application History, the only entry I find is ‘Application filed’, dated Mar 31, 2025, which corresponds with my AOR, and don’t see any details about fingerprint request/submission here either.

Is this normal? Does the tracker account now not have “Your Next Steps” anymore? Do others see updates on their accounts when fingerprint requests are made?

Will really appreciate any advice / guidance on the matter.

Thanks.
I am exactly the same. Completed biometrics, but no update on the tracker. Last updated 02-May; one day after the fingerprints request. The tracker is not always up to date.

How did you find out the processing centre, did you contact IRCC?

Oh okay. Good to know that at least I am not alone who is in this predicament.
AOR letter lists the Processing Center. The letter is signed by the processing center at the end.

I noticed that many applicants from October, November, and December 2024 received fingerprint requests, even though I didn’t. Just a reminder: fingerprint requests will not appear in your application tracker.

To confirm whether IRCC received your fingerprints, you may need to call them directly, especially if you haven’t received confirmation.

The tracker only shows predefined steps like:
✔ Background verification
✔ Test
✔ Language, Prohibitions, Physical Presence (LPP)
✔ Oath

Even if you’re invited for an interview, it won’t appear in the tracker—only mail/email communications will notify you.

I called IRCC today and they said they are waiting for RCMP to send the fingerprint results. File stuck at background check.

Tracker updated for spouse's application with note that interview required and scheduled for end May (no email notice yet).

My only guess so far as to reason is a lot of travel and related (more than one passport for a country that allows more than one). Who knows though? Wouldn't be language etc as not applicable (age).

If it is the travel question (and physical presence) from my perspective a good sign as at least it's moving. We've no concerns about the physical presence, documentation more than in order, even though applied with just a few days over 1100. (There was one exit not in CBSA report but we can show that).

Your spouse is a March 2025 applicant?
