I’m confused. How does filing taxes affect our application. For me , I had not filed taxes as of when I applied so I just indicated “no” for year 2024.Maybe it’s because many more people applied after filing taxes.

What I meant is this. What if a lot of people waited to fill their 2024 taxes before applying. That will create a larger number of applications than usual which may have slowed down AOR. Just speculation from me, not a fact. Still waiting for AOR myself. Application submitted March 20.I’m confused. How does filing taxes affect our application. I don't think it should effect AOR at all (as long as the three years before were ticked appropriately, anyway). It's more in the requirements later. To be clear, for AOR stage, I think they are only checking that indeed the boxes are ticked as required - which for online I think it checks that anyway. What I meant is this. Yep!!It appears they've started giving AOR up till March 15th applications,
It's more about the influx of applications, not them tracking or checking if you filed at this point. I, for one, had to wait until I filed taxes to fulfill the 3 tax filings requirement, as I had the physical presence days I needed but couldn't apply due to 1 remaining tax filing.I don't think it should effect AOR at all (as long as the three years before were ticked appropriately, anyway). By which time most will have filed (those required to do so anyway), so if they check for the most recent year (I repeat if - I do not know if they do), no issue for them. People filing in March are mostly not going to see checks of the filings going on in May or later. Again, after the filing deadline.
And I suspect for those that had filed as required for previous years, well, IRCC is not CRA, I doubt they are out tracking down file by file who has filed right on time, etc.
Those applying later in the year might see some checks, esp if their own timeframe in Canada shorter/with fewer tax filing years.
