Someone in Feb'23 got invite for Oath ceremony in May. Not an urgent application. Wonder what that's all about.

That is IRCC for yah!!! lol and I have passed my test since Feb and not a word !!!! but tbh it all depend on the office and how many application they have, Iive in the busies city ever so they for sure will have more work than a small city in Montreal

Hmmm....more I try to understand it the weirder it gets!
I live in a city much smaller in the pacific coast, does it get clubbed with a big city? My AOR receipt had Nova Scotia listed though.

Yeah IRCC is like an unsolvable Math.

i know they had this strategy to move around applications, to different offices which is what is helping them process so fast, because in the past a office would only do there's now if a small office has a small number of applications they will just start to move them around and give each office enough work, but will go back to your home office for final and Oath

Update:

Received Test invite on Saturday May 13th. Test to be taken between May 19th to June 8th. No email received as of yet. Has anyone taken the test without the email or are we contacting someone?

I was told you'll get email in the next few days after invite. I got it within a couple days.
I wonder if it'll let you take the test before May 19th!

The only way to describe IRCC's ways is WEIRD!

Those in densely populated area like south ON get their applications moved between offices supposedly to distribute the workload equally. But some offices are super slow. At this time I "think" Hamilton is moving very slow.

And the office which handles sparsely populated SK and MB applications always have the reputation of being slow.

I don't plan on taking it before the 19th, but it's good to know that the email can come within a couple of days prior to the test. I was a bit confused because of the status on account mentioning 6 days. Will update when I get the email.

Sounds crazy. Hope they are not physically moving around the paper applications. LOL

LOL I will go based on IRCC and the IRCC minister already said last week only 100k application fell in a backlog due to the strike.

That’s 100k applications of which were to be given a decision. Meanwhile new applications were coming in. In the interview I heard, shortly after the strike was over, he said it would be end of summer until they were caught up.

At the start of the strike he said they were almost at service standard but the work disruption would cause delays and create a backlog.
