ECAS (https://services3.cic.gc.ca/ecas/security.do) only works for Paper Citizenship Application. The statuses are few(Application received, In Progress, Decision Made, Completed).
New Tracker(https://tracker-suivi.apps.cic.gc.ca/) has detail info about each stage. Works for both paper and online application.

Makes sense to follow New Tracker.

I am not sure about Application Portal.

Awesome, thanks! So I'll just pay attention to the tracker once I'm able to register in a few days. (Oh fyi the application portal I meant is the the page/portal/site we use to fill and submit an online application, so I was curious if it has any relevance after submission but your answer has cleared that up :)

Hey
I can't find the spreadsheet for march 2023. I clicked on the link in the first post and it brought me to January 2023 spreadsheet instead.

Could this be fixed?

There are separate tabs per month in the Spreadsheet. If you go down in the sheet you can see the monthly tab.

Hi all, just got an update.

Finally able to create a tracker today (March 30) after 2 days from AOR (March 28).
Status says
Language skills - In progress
Physical presence - In progress
Background verification - In progress
Prohibitions
- In progress

Just want to check if this what we should see at the start?

Thank you to those you will answer.

Yes, it's all good!

Hi all. Please help settle something. I have lived in Canada for 9 years now. I am double guessing myself because an ignorant a**hole told me my application would get rejected (and was quite rude about it) because I do not meet the residency requirement. Doofus claims that you can only count 365 days of temporary residency (TR) for citizenship (which is correct) and since each day of TR only counts for 0.5 days, this is 182 days as the maximum you can claim towards the minimum 1095 days (which I believe to be incorrect). Thus an applicant would have to be a PR for 2.5 years and a TR for 1 year to be eligible for citizenship (again, I believe this is incorrect).
However, my interpretation of IRCC guidelines, is that you can only get credit for 365 days of TR. Since TR days count for 0.5 of a day, you can become a citizen with 2 years of PR and 2 years of TR in the 5 year prior to submitting your application.
Am I interpreting the rules correctly?

Yes you are interpreting it right. Why rely on anyone, instead use the calculator and do the calculation on your own to see if you eligible or not - https://eservices.cic.gc.ca/rescalc/rescalcwizard.do
