Hi Guys, adding my info as well:

Type: Online application
Location: Mississauga, ON
Physical Presence Days: 1156
Application: Single
Application sent: March 8th
Delivered: March 8th
AOR:

I have submitted my application on paper and have seen it has reached sydney on the beginning of March. I am awaiting for the AOR now but I do not know if I should / should not receive an email confirmation that they have aknowledge receipt of it. Did anyone receive such email upon sending paper application?

At this stage you will not receive any email. Only after your application has been reviewed and deemed complete, an AOR will be emailed to you. Current trend is 2 months after delivery date.

Best of luck.

Hello everyone
I am looking to get some help i will apply fir citizenship this month i have some questions
1. How to apply for citizenship? Is there any portal for that
2. My spouse has to apply on a separate application.
3.What documents we will need in order to apply. And much the processing fees are. Thanks

Hello @saver1985 !

First, you need to know if you're eligible to apply for citizenship and if you can do so online or on paper.

Use this official website to verify if you are eligible: Apply for Canadian citizenship On this website, you will also find everything else you need to know about the application, the processing fees, the processing time, and where to download your application package (if you apply on paper).

You can use the official website and answer some questions to find out what the best way is for you to apply (online or on paper).

https://citapply-citdemande.apps.cic.gc.ca/en/sign-in

-> Click on Check if you can apply online

Hope it helps,

Andy.

Hi

I'm filling the citizenship application online. It is asking for "Language Proof", CLB with atleast 4 score.

Can I submit the CLB Test result for the test I gave in year 2019? is it acceptable or Do i have to give it again.

Thanks

Hey guys, quick question

On physical presence calculator,

My spouse was on visitor visa and through inland spousal application, she got open work permit first and then eventually PR.

So from the time of arrival to Canada, until she got a PR, will it be treated as a visitor Visa? or when she gets open work permit, it is called something else?

Appreciate your help.

Hi @Troy2245 !

The time your spouse held visitor status is called and treated as "Visitor", and the time covered by the work permit is called "Temporary Resident Permit Holder". Both will count in the calculation, but they are just called different.

Hope it helps.

Can anyone let me know for online application,

If second ID doesn’t have a photo on it, will it be accepted? I have Quebec ramq health card and they don’t issue photo on it.
Alberta and Quebec don’t have photo on health cards.
Don’t have any other secondary ID.

has anyone submitted secondary id without photo ?

what should I be doing

How old is your Quebec health card? Mine has a photo on it.

I had one from 2021 and it got renewed last year as well until 2024.
On both instances, they did not provide one with a photo.

checked with my friends, even they don’t have photo on it.

That's weird; mine have, and I kept my old RAMQ cards, and they have photos on them too. You might be able to switch if you want.

Anyway, the requirements for ID for citizenship applications are that you must provide at least two documents, both pieces of ID must show name and date of birth, and at least one document must have a photograph.

You can read more here: Acceptable documents to show identity for citizenship applications
