Contacting MP sometimes helps immensely. Sometimes helps a little. Most times it doesn't help. At worst, it never hurts.
Of course they did! Nothing comes east with them, that’s really cutting it close. Did you apply in person?I have, based on my travel dates of 27th June, IRCC person decided that my family will receive our passports on the 26th of June. So that if something goes wrong, we won't get the passports on time
i have resubmitted my application for the second time but they returned my application due to rhis same reasone. I contacted my MP but no help at all. What should I do.

They received my application (AOR) in March 2022.
My background verification was done in September 2022.
I completed my citizenship test in October 2022.
And since then no update at all! Language skills, physical presence and background verification are still “in progress”. My PR expires this October so I am getting very worried. Does anyone know how I can find out what is going on? And if contacting my MP can help? Thank you

Not possible to book an appointment online for the passport office. Checked Toronto, Mississauga and Brampton. Did a walk-in yesterday. Everybody was helpful. Express pick up scheduled for 27th. Good luck.
Do they ask for justification for express pickup? I have to travel to visit my family next month. I haven’t booked the tickets yet though.

I was told that if my travel was within 10 business days, they would do express pickup for me. I as ordering 4 passports so it would have cost me significantly. For 10 business day pickup it cost me 20 dollars per passport as express fee.
On the form there is a part where you can put the travel dates. I included my plane reservation with the passport form and mom also had a reservation on the same day + she is elderly. When I got my ticket, the agent told me they can hold the reservation for one day. If you don't make the payment by 11:00 am, your reservation will not be valid.
FYI. the agent at Service Canada said she will give my passport on June 30th, when I asked for express pick up she said it will be ready on the 27th for pick-up. If you have flexible dates, you can use regular pick rather than express. I did not want to take the chance and opted for express pick up.
