WOW. You are right. They are actually showing official citizenship processing times as 27 months.

Hi, Did any March Online Applicant receive AOR till now, it seems Paper applications are receiving AOR but don't see any online one's yet.
I applied on Feb 26th through online mode and still waiting for AOR. Thanks

Nope, none of the online applicants have received AOR from March yet.

Makes me wonder if I should have applied with paper application and with my kids included

I was about to say it doesn't make sense to apply paper. 2 applications at the same time would likely end up delaying your processing even more.

My theory is that actual processing time might not be 27 months for vast majority of applications, a small percentage of applications (maybe 5% to 10%) of total pool is skewing the average time. They will soon remove these from their calculations and again start claiming, "Oh look we have brought processing time down from 27 months to 18 months".

There are also outliers on the short side, people who received citizenship with urgent processing! The short and the long ones will continue. The only way for the processing time to go down is if they actually process everything faster in general. You are just making up numbers.
