I think that I just received a ghost update... I didn't receive any emails or anything, but I noticed that my names in the Express Entry profile is now in all caps! That's weird... I'm almost positive that it wasn't all capitalized before.

Does anyone ever heard of something like this? Is this even considered a ghost update?

That happened to me right after the medicals were passed and my previous biometrics were added to the profile as completed. Both happened at the same time.

Ha! My medicals passed since last month and this only happened now.

Did you get your PR yet? Is this name change considered a ghost update?

I do not know if this is considered a ghost update since all these events (med passed, biometrics update and name change) happed the same day, so it's hard to say. All these happened on April 20, no updates since then..

I already got the ITA. I have selected my Medical Dates and PCC dates in next few days. I have a question regarding proof of funds and payment of immigration fees. Do we have to pay after AOR? Or when we are submitting our documents?

It was all caps for me from the beginning (but only for Permanent Residency row, Camel Case for the Express Entry row).

After you submit your documents, you will be redirected to the payment plataform. And then, the AOR is received.

I received another ghost update. Now my first name and surname are back to only the first letters being capitalized.

I also saw that my application status changed to "Updated".

This is my second ghost update in the span of 2 days.

I was also requested to send additional documents on 2022-04-28. I sent the documents the next day (2022-04-29) and I received an e-mail on 2022-05-02 saying that they successfuly received my additional documents. I'm not sure if this constitutes a ghost update or not... I guess it's just a normal update.

My AOR is 24th March, MEP - 30th May and also got a request for IMM5475 for authorization release at the same time and BIL. My Biometric is for 21st June.

Oh so you did not do upfront medicals?

No, I didn’t! I had medicals from my previous work permit that I thought I could use, but apparently they expired so I had to do it again.

I wonder if this can cause my application approval to be delayed…

I didn't go for upfront medicals as due to the potential long processing time, CIC website instructed outland candidates not to get upfront medicals and wait for a medical request from IRCC.

Anyone with March AOR who didn't go for upfront medicals and have got a medical request?
