Hi armoured
Sorry not related to this post
Just wanna know that I have sent my application on 26th august 2020 but I haven’t received Anything from ircc even in online tool it’s showing nothing
It’s already been 7 months
Is this normal ? What is the maximum waiting period going on just to receive something?

Every application is different, so it's hard to tell how long will it take especially in this pandemic.
In my case, I haven't gotten anything from IRCC for 7 months like you.
My application was received in June 2020 and first contact from IRCC was this January.
Are you in Canada already?

If anyone noticed they are up to finalizing June 16 and 22, 2019

So at this rate it'll be August before they get to March 2020

No, it doesn't mean that - that number is about when they hit 80% of applications from that timeframe mentioned, they keep working on newer files. In fact looks like they're catching up.

As of right now, looks like about a quarter of March 2020 apps have already received PPR.

Well i mean, it kinda does... it literally says we are finalizing most applications we received between...
I know they still work applications in various stages after that date, so if newer applications progress thats great, I just get the feeling this is a backhanded way of telling people to lower their expectations. Any query related to where an application is, is basically met with "its being transferred" or "heres our online tool"

What i would be interested to know is if this strictly related to applications still in canada and not transferred to various local VO's - as it still appears as thought Outbound applications in DM still in canada arent really moving at the same rate as those transferred to local vo's

It surely is a way to lower expectations. But when they say "finalzing most applications between", I think to most people it sounds like they're not working on nor finalizing those received afterwards - it's really more like "right now we hit the 80% mark for those received..." [date range.]

In contrast for all of 2019 most later months are above 50%. May not be much comfort but lots of applicants are getting done quicker than that message seems to imply.

I don't know. It seems there is something held up in their process for apps in DM in Canadian VOs in terms of getting them to PPR.

Yes, I sent a couple of messages though Webform. I couldn't phone IRCC since I was not in Canada then.
Then I got a reply it said 'Because of covid blah blah~~' like kinda template reply tho.
If you are already in Canada, you can phone IRCC and ask about your application.
