Just to keep you informed if someone needs that info.
I sent a request to my MP a week ago, and they received this answer from IRCC this morning:
We can provide you with the following details for your constituent about the status of an application to sponsor a spouse living outside Canada (XF*********):
• The application was received at the Centralized Intake Office in Sydney (CIO), Nova Scotia, on March 30, 2020.
• The initial assessment to ensure the application is complete is still in process. Once the application is deemed complete, each assessment will be initiated and finalized gradually.
• Rest assured that the responsible office will contact your constituent directly if anything is required or when a decision has been rendered.

Can I contact my MP when the application is received and but not yet acknowledgement letter received?
I just called IRCC to check on the application status. My file was reveived on March 25th.
Last week I was told that my application is completed as of Oct 1st (day I called). When I called today, I was told by different rep that they dont have any info and previous rep info regarding completion is incorrect.
I dont know why IRCC support reps are lying. Thry have been giving false info every time we call.

Yes it was a man. I told him to look up my file using temp number or receipt. He said he cannot look it up and I just have to wait.
When I asked about 6000 applications update. He said read it online and all the info is there. Phone agents dont have any info.
I got him last week, he told me he couldn’t look it up either with a temp number and to wait for AOR
LOL I have been told many stories
1. As of Sept 22, my thing was complete, I should wait for AOR
2. Its assigned to officer waiting for review
3. I have to wait
4. They are processing applications received before Feb 15
5. They can't lookup outland applications, they only can check inland applications
