Hi everyone!

I had my citizenship ceremony yesterday on October 21! We were a little over 100 applicants there and it took approximately 2hours. Citizenship status was marked as Closed today October 22 on the tracker :) Now the wait begins to get the certificate in the mail. Good luck to everyone!

Big Congrats.
Did they say (or you asked), how soon the certificate will be delivered?

Thanks! I requested to get it as soon as possible. They said if I sent them my signed oath declaration immediately after the ceremony they could prioritize it, but otherwise, I would've needed to give them proof of travel to expedite the certificate. They didn't tell me how long I only mentioned I needed to travel in mid-November. It seems like they were going to try to make it fast. We'll see.

The journey to citizenship is over.

AOR: 18th Oct 2020
In-Process: 29th Oct 2020
Test done : Last week of April 2021
Oath Email: 8th Oct 2021
Became Citizen: 18th Oct 2021.
Thanks Everyone!
Congratulations!
I wonder how come you had to wait 5 months from the test to the ceremony.
I applied in March 2020 and I got to do the test on Aug 3rd.
I have been requested to send a scan of all my passport pages on Sept. 9th, sent it the same day.
Everything beside the citizenship ceremony has been updated on Sept 13th.
Now I am in the limbo waiting for the invitation for the oath.
I thought it was a matter of weeks...

How is the oath declaration being signed and sent? Is it via mail (paper signature)? Email (sign and scan or electronically signed)? Can it be done immediately after? Thx

How did you find the test? I am going to do mine on Monday and am very nervous - I can't retain the dates at all from the book......
1. Use online training platform. I reached success rate around 98% , but it wasn't necessary.
2. It's better to take it in the morning. Human being' brain works better.
3. Don't worry. I prayed to Creator of the Universe, and passed 20/20.

You can either print and sign and then scan the oath form or you can electronically sign it.

Instructions for that included in your oath document & also the email address where it needs to be sent.

So I had my rescheduled oath taking date on Oct 30th Saturday. Not raising my hopes high up yet until I receive the oath taking invite email within the next few days.

I initially got scheduled on Oct 19th but they failed to email the invite and got an apology email from IRCC afterwards.

We'll see!
