Hi guys,

Vancouver office March 2020 applicant here. Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the oath letter after everything else shows "completed"? Not asking because I'm impatient :) Just trying to plan my parental leave to visit family abroad, and I know I have to be in Canada for the oath ceremony.

Thank you!

Hi,
I did my Test in May (Vancouver) and still waiting and no update for Oath and Ceremony.
Online form summited 2 times since May to ask for update and every time I got back with email that looks like Machine replied: "Due to COVID and ............"

Im in Montreal, I completed my test in March and I still havent even received DM.... so there you go...

Hi, just wondering if anyone else is in the same boat as me.

I completed my test in March and havent heard anything since, there is no DM, no interviews.

Im wondering if my file is just stuck somewhere.. is there anyone else in the same situation? Thanks

Hey everyone!
Great to see people's applications moving along, tests and oaths being completed over the past few weeks.
Location: Burlington, ON
I sent in my application in early March 2020.
AOR: Oct 2020
In Process: Nov 2020
Background Verification Completed: Apr 23, 2021
All others: In Process

I'm also finding out that a BUNCH of people who applied AFTER me are done with their oaths and tests, and it's super frustrating.
I got my local MP to get me some updates back in April 2020 and she just sent me the 'in process please wait' cookie-cutter response from IRCC.

I just called the CPC/IRCC number and they refused to give me any update as they are apparently only prioritizing urgent applications including Afghan refugee ones so got no help there either.

Any hope, any advice, anything?

Welcome to the club! Unfortunately, it seems, as is tradition with anything CIC related, you can't do much other than just wait and pray for the CIC gods. I totally get your frustration... as I've had to deal with it throughout my long journey... study permits, work permit, pr, and now citizenship. Just hang in there... Your time will come too.

Now as a long-term solution, I think it's time for running a petition to get a deep-rooted solution to IRCC problems... non-transparency, laziness of its employees etc.

Well, 3,700 already arrived in Toronto, and Toronto offices have not slowed down on DMs, Oaths etc… I presume those 5,000 Afghan applications are being processed throughout the country, and not just at the Calgary office.

That's encouraging to hear! I hope you're right.

I get the situation in Afghanistan but most applications have been in process way longer than that
Edmonton office is dead, from the spreadsheet there's not a single oath invite for applications of 2020...
Agreed my colleague at work just took her oath week ago. She is a Nov 2019 applicant and it's Edmonton office
