Hi guys,

Vancouver office March 2020 applicant here. Does anybody know how long it takes to receive the oath letter after everything else shows "completed"? Not asking because I'm impatient :) Just trying to plan my parental leave to visit family abroad, and I know I have to be in Canada for the oath ceremony.

Thank you!

I think it is just the same as the status, no oath scheduled. I think I will submit a request for GCMS notes next week too.

That will take a month from your submission date. Please let me know when you get the notes.

No one knows. I am waiting since Aug 11, oath not started.

waiting for 7 weeks already, hope my oath isn't over Christmas or close to it as I have travel plans

Yeah, I also have a pretty special trip planned for November and I need to see my family in December since I haven't seen them since 2019. I can't believe this process will take almost (or over) 2 years. The Calgary office was moving along, but it seems to have stalled again. I guess the resources got diverted to more "important" things...

if I somehow get an invitation for 2022 summer or something I’m gonna go completely insane! Passed my test more than 2 months ago, what are you waiting for IRCC??? More and more backlog like snowball??!! Eventually you are gonna have to deal with all these applications! Delaying them will not help anybody! Why is it so hard to send oath invites and END THIS MESS?! God is this Canada???? The year is 2021, we are in Canada and dealing with this mess??? I still can’t believe it!

I get the situation in Afghanistan but most applications have been in process way longer than that
Edmonton office is dead, from the spreadsheet there's not a single oath invite for applications of 2020...
