Its paper since online application was introduced only in Dec2020.

Post pandemic: what i see is that the major hurdle for most applicants is to get to the test stage, once thats passed then the DM/oath happens faster within months if not weeks. So the more early the test, the more early the oath.

Within months is not specific. It could mean up to a year. I did my test more than 2 months ago, and nothing has happened since.

Well, its not the infinite wait like what we had for getting into the testing stage. Its what it is. what else we can do but surely not slow as 2020 hence 2021 speed is not worse even though its still bad for many applicants.
I waited for 16 months to get to test stage and i am sure it wont be another 16 months for oath ;)

20 months no test yet, here. family (>=3) applications took most of the hit due to pandemic.

This is what I got as a reply (See Below) after I sent for an update since I didn’t see anything after Background Verification completed on May 10th!

Updated the spreadsheet.

You'll probably receive an email in next 2 days or on Monday. A couple of others have reported delays in oath emails as well.

Tomorrow, call IRCC at 8 AM local time and let them know you have your oath ceremony on the 14th and you don't have an invitation yet.

Also, could you please provide the date your application went to Decision Made status? This is the same date when your "Prohibitions" was set to "Completed".

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

Edmonton office seems to be moving now. My status for Test was updated to take the test late July now. Will reading the Discover Canada book be sufficient enough to pass the test or I need more materials?

I am just glad I am not the only one waiting! But seriously though, this wait OMG. God only knows how people can go to work and be content seeing that many backlogged files just sitting there staring at the officer to be handled. Won't they feel the urge to reduce the massive failure that they managed whip up in the past year due to COVID excuse?

Maybe if their salary was based on applications processed, but since they get paid the same amount whether they process 1 or 100, there's just not much reason for them to care.
