It doesn't matter. You can call at 1-888-242-2100. Try early morning 8/9 EST, else it can be very difficult to get a hold of them.

Is the oath ceremony held online or do we need to go in person? I live 1.5hrs from the largest city ( Calgary), so I need coverage at my work if this if this requires in-person attendance.

It's via zoom meeting. Can be 3 hours, that's what I found on my oath email.

“Glitches happen”… Calgary Office

Some might have read my post last week.

Oct 15 (Thu) morning - checked my status online and got an oath taking scheduled on Oct 19 (Tue) last update was dated Oct 14 (Wed)

Oct 16 (Fri) - sent a web form and called IRCC hotline. The agent said that my application is completed pending oath ceremony which is scheduled in their system. She sent a note to Calgary Office (she said noted for urgent processing), instructing them to send the invite email.

She gave me assurance that it’s not my fault and I have done my part for calling them. She said that it’s the Calgary Office’s fault.

Worst scenario is I will be rescheduled for an oath. My call was recorded to my profile.

Oct 19 (Tuesday) - oath taking day

I called IRCC again and asked for assistance on the issue. She said that the previous agent recorded my call last time and her previous request for Calgary office to look into my file will expire at 12 noon ET. She said that if I don’t get any email today, it will be automatically scheduled for oath taking. And that I don’t have nothing to worry about and no need to follow up as I have the records of my follow ups from last Friday and today.

My take aways:

1) was weird having that oath taking update as I was the only one who got one under the same timeline

2) Things happen like this so It is what it is

P.S. don’t bother on Google’s Calgary Office number. That’s a health insurance company. Use the IrCC hotline. So here’s another inefficiency

Even when they deploy their systems after months of developing and delays, they are not working properly.

Hey! Yes, I took the test on August 11th, got the passport scans request on September 17th. So, about a month between these two milestones.
10 days after I sent the scans they changed everything to "Completed", other than the oath. Hope that helps.

Thanks, I did not get passport scan request and still waiting for everything else apart from Test & Background Verification to be completed. Hopefully very soon! I got to send a webform yesterday and got the generic reply. Also, sent to Vancouver-enquires and waiting for their reply.

Can't believe I'm finally saying this, but 19 months after submitting my application with a request for "urgent processing", I've finally received an invitation to complete a completely pointless Buzzfeed quiz about Canada.

Can someone update the spreadsheet to say I received my test invite on Oct 20, 2021?
